A stunningly beautiful country withoutstanding natural beauty and all year round clement weather.

Unfortunately it is also politically very volatile and a country where tourists need to have their wits about them. Crime is rife and there are plenty of "no go" areas, so make sure you do your research in advance.

I have to confess, much as I detest them normally, I did go on an organised tour when visiting the country, purely to reduce any risks.
